Mona Shatry is an independent photographer, creative director and interdisciplinary artist. Her work moves fluidly between photography, design and narrative exploration, combining documentary approaches with a clear and striking visual language that addresses themes of identity, belonging and cultural diversity.

After completing her studies in design management, her projects have focused mainly on fashion and portrait work, using visual storytelling of real life narratives as a radical intervention against the artificial. One of the resulting series, About Beauty, explores the complex dimensions of beauty and questions prevailing ideals imposed on and about women. Through intimate portraits of women of different ages and cultural backgrounds, she opens a differentiated view of beauty as an expression of individuality and inner strength. The series has been exhibited internationally, including at Image Nation in Paris and New York.
