Mona Shatry is a photographer and curator based in Munich. Working across fashion, portraiture and visual storytelling, her practice explores identity, beauty and the relationship between people and their surroundings.

After completing her studies in Design Management, she developed her photographic practice primarily through fashion and portraiture. Her work focuses on people, lived experiences and personal narratives, using photography to challenge constructed ideals and create space for more authentic perspectives.

Her series About Beauty examines the complex and subjective nature of beauty and questions the ideals imposed on women and their bodies. Through intimate portraits of women of different ages and cultural backgrounds, the series presents beauty as an expression of individuality, identity and inner strength.
